Biography

Nicole Elyse Wilson was born in New York, New York. She grew up, the daughter of a Broadway actor and a psychologist, in the unique arts apartment complex called Manhattan Plaza, located in Manhattan's historical theater district, a neighborhood also known as Hell's Kitchen.

In her youth she attended the independent, coeducational college preparatory school , The Calhoun School, on Manhattan's Upper West Side; which boasts such notable alums as Ben Stiller, Wendy Wasserstein, and Peggy Guggenheim. There she was cast in productions of "The Musical Comedy Murders of the 1930's", "The Matchmaker", and "You Can't Take It With You".  

At the tender age of twelve she made her entrée into acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre where she wrote and starred in an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. One of her classmates was Rosario Dawson.

She attended The State University at Binghamton with a bachelors in theater and a playwriting concentration. Upon completion of 4 years of college studies, she launched her professional acting career as Cori in the Off-Broadway production of Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park. She has appeared on such TV shows as All My Children,  30 Rock, Lipstick Jungle, As The World Turns, Saturday Night Live, Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Cashmere Mafia. In addition to acting, Nicole is an accomplished figurative painter who has shown in Manhattan's galleries.

 She currently works as a gallery assistant in one of Chelsea's top galleries. Her work as a painter explores the world as if through a child's eyes. She treats her subjects, predominately children, not as though they are unformed beings, but as sagely visionaries still directly connected to the wisdom, joy, fears, and pulse of life we so often lose touch with as we mature. She feels that we have planned our adult lives in accordance with a dream we fostered as children, and her work seeks to return to the places where we lived in a netherworld comprised of creativity and curiosity.

The daughter of a Broadway actor and grew up in the actor complex Manhattan Plaza.

Sister of Julie Wilson, a novelist and employee of Random House.

Grew up playing with Alicia Keys, Donald Faison, and Terrence Howard.

An accomplished figurative painter.

Her heritage is Irish and Italian.

Among her favorite actors are Robert Downey Jr., Andy Garcia, and Marlon Brando.

Longtime boyfriend is actor, Holt McCallany. - Check him out in The new FX series "Lights Out" which will start airing January 2011!!
